Students can earn academic credit by working in community settings through the department’s Capstone Practicum in Clinical Psychology course. Popular community settings include prisons, mental health clinics, and nursing centers. Students can also contact the STEM Center or Office of Career Services for finding internship opportunities.

Students who wish to prepare for doctoral education can participate in faculty research in a variety of areas including language, health and mental well-being, behavioral neuroscience, and human learning.
