Indiana Civic Health Index
The Indiana Civic Health Index (INCHI) strengthens civic life in Indiana by elevating the discussion of our state’s civic health. Created in collaboration with state and national organizations, these reports identify patterns related to the civic engagement of Hoosiers and discuss the implications of these trends for building a civically engaged Indiana.
The most recent report, the 2025 INCHI, draws on the latest U.S. Census Population Survey and its 2024 voting data to provide a biennial snapshot of Indiana's civic health. The report takes a broad view to examine civic health, highlighting the state’s recent successes and challenges while using these findings to identify future opportunities to strengthen Indiana’s collective civic health.
