Home Rooms, Colors & Divisions
Each school will be assigned a home room that they can use on the day of the tournament for materials storage, team meetings, etc. Eating and drinking will be allowed in these rooms.
Colored wrist bands will be provided at registration. Competitors must be wearing a wrist band to gain entry to and compete in events. (No wristband is required for trial events.) A guide explaining wrist band colors will be posted to the website and emailed to coaches.
Wristband Color Guide
- All schools will receive 1 orange wristband per competitor to distribute to the members of your team
- If you have more than one team, please give orange wristbands to all members of your first team
- Schools with a second team will receive 1 yellow wristband per competitor to distribute to the members of your second team only
- Schools with a third team will receive 1 black wristband per competitor to distribute to the members of your third team only
The following rules will be strictly adhered to regarding these wristbands:
- All event supervisors will check participants' wrists to ensure that all members of each competing team are wearing the same colored wristband
- If your school has two or more teams, you can not mix participants from different teams in the same event
- Students without an orange, yellow or black wristband will not be allowed to compete
- Alternates should not be given an orange, yellow or black wristband
- Teams will be allotted one wristband per team member; extra wristbands will not be given out
- If a participant's wristband needs to be replaced for any reason, they must bring the original wristband to the registration desk (first floor of Savannah, outside the gym doors) or judges hospitality room (Savannah 205) to swap out for a new/correct color wristband
- Trial and pilot events do not require an orange, yellow or black wristband to compete - alternates are enthusiastically encouraged to participate in these events!
- Blue wristbands must be given to all individuals - including team members, coaches, and adult chaperones - who have not returned a signed photo release form.
- Blue wristbands do not indicate eligibility to compete!
- Please request the required number of blue wristbands at registration
- There is no restriction on the number of blue wristbands that a team can receive, and these can be requested at any point during the day of the tournament
A printed guide will be given to each team at registration along with their wristbands.
