The Joy of Discovery,  Richard B. Gunderman, MD, PhD

Education has many purposes — to enable learners to support themselves and their families, to contribute in some way to the lives of others, to achieve career success, and for some, even fame and wealth.  But one of its highest purposes is to prepare students for a life of discovery, to delight in glimpsing the way the world really is, who our neighbors, friends, and loved ones really are, and what our lives can truly amount to.

Dr. Gunderman’s accomplishments and positions:

Chancellor’s Professor, IU Indianapolis

John A. Campbell Professor of Radiology
