What is RedHawks Rising?

RedHawks Rising is your required New Student Orientation, and it’s where your IU Northwest journey really begins. You should already be enrolled in classes to attend RedHawks Rising. If you havent enrolled in classes, do not worry! Click here for more information about enrolling in classes.

College can feel overwhelming at first. RedHawks Rising helps make it feel smaller, friendlier, and way more doable. Students who attend orientation:

We know you have a lot going on. When you RSVP, you’ll be able to select the orientation date that fits your schedule best—just please don't skip it. Orientation is required, and it’s a big step toward starting strong!
